After a morning of meetings, Mr. C and I treated ourselves to a lunch out and tried not to think of the InBox filling up back in the office. I ordered a Five Bean Chilli with Baked Potato thinking it was less likely to wreak havoc with my ‘Points Counting’ than something/anything with Chips! Food arrived and tasted lovely. In fact, I commented it tasted as good as Chilli con Carne. Only to finish my meal and discover it flaming well was a meaty chilli! So now I’m stuck in the position where I’m only half-way through my day but have virtually no Points left to play with.
“How many No-Point Recipes have we got back in the house?” I whine plaintively. ‘I’ll have to have No Point Soup and Melba Toasts…..’
Those of you not acquainted with POINTS won’t know that it’s the WeightWatchers way to count how much you’ve been eating. Forget Calories! Old-fashioned, they are. Points is what it’s all about and Mr. C and I have been boring our respective families rigid over the past month as we persevere heroically with our new Healthy Eating regime.
We’ll keep you posted – suffice to say we’ve both dropped nearly a stone so far.
Off to make some Balti Curry now and might have room for a snack-size Milky Way (or Aldi equivalent!) when watching The Apprentice.
